UNIMED Raises Alarm Over Fake Admission Letters

The Management of University of Medical Science (UNIMED), Ondo, has alerted unsuspecting members of the public, especially desperate admission seekers, to beware of fraudsters selling fake admission letters.
The University, on Saturday, started that its attention has been drawn to fraudulent activities by impostors who are circulating fake admission letters via email and SMS in the name of the University.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of UNIMED, Isaac Oluyi, read “The attention of the Management of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, has been drawn to the latest antics of some admission racketeers issuing fake admission letters via email and/or SMS to unsuspecting candidates.
“Please, note that UNIMED does not offer admission to candidates through Emails or SMS. Admission offer is via the University website/portal – www.unimed.edu.ng.
“Like we warned parents/guardians /candidates during the Post-UTME exercise that the University does not operate through any agent, we will like to reiterate it that the University does not operate through any intermediary, agent or social media platform (WhatsApp and/or Telegram group) to offer admission.
“In light of the above, please be wary of the antics of these admission racketeers masquerading as representatives of UNIMED. Do not be scammed of your hard earned money. Admission offer at UNIMED is strictly by MERIT!
