Extolling Prof. Pade Aderibigbe @89, By Alli Ibrahim

Daddy, The Basorun of Ileogbo, your life is as unique as your ways.

Not many of your age has the quality of young and aspiring youth as sons, daughters, friends and allies. Your contentment is rare, living in an urban farm house with no gate and no security speaks volumes of your open hearted and kindness. Everyone knows the way to your room door. You are free to all.

More so, your generosity is superlative. At every opportunity to use two cars, you give one out for free. Less privileged elders, orphans and windows have unrestricted access to your door. You empower within your capacity and give encouraging words.

Baba Pade has the capacity to be building mansions in all parts of the country but he chose to empower humans. He operated the first lending facility for traders in Ileogbo when he returned from overseas. He has no properties except human development. That is his assets. Today, his students are banak managers and captains of industries.

As the first presidential candidate from Osun State, Baba Pade has a unique story. He is a book to be read by every aspiring son and daughter of Ileogbo. He would have been the first Chairman of Ayedire Local Government but was betrayed by the power that be and the glory was shifted to Kuta with a ward then to win Ileogbo candidate with three wards, the expensive mistake Ileogbo is still battling with till date.

Daddy, you have won. You have conquered. You are a hero. We will continue to celebrate with you. I pray for more years in sound health sir.

Happy birthday once again sir
