Edo Decides: PDP, APC Battle For Edo Central District
As collation of results from the Edo governorship election continues, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are in a close race in the exercise.
According to results from polling units uploaded so far on the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV), the two leading candidates are in a close race in Edo Central Senatorial District, with each of them leading in their respective local governments.
Early results from Esan North East showed the APC and the PDP are giving each other a close chase in the results so far uploaded on IREV.
However, the APC is leading some of the local governments in Edo North Senatorial District, especially in Etsako West, Etsako East, Etsako Central, Owan West.
The PDP was leading in Edo South in local governments like Oredo, Ovia South West, Egor, Orhionmwon, Ikpoba Okha.
