Osun Cleric Suggests Ways To Tackle Current Economic Hardship In Nigeria
An Osogbo based cleric, Prophet (Dr) George Oluwoye has said that embracing the fear of God is essential for restoring order and navigating the nation’s current economic challenges, including the recent fuel subsidy removal.
Prophet Oluwoye made this known during the second-year anniversary service of Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Praise and Mercy, Ori-Oke Annu, Kajola Owode-Ede, Osun State.
He emphasized that the lack of divine reverence has worsened the current leadership and societal problems.
He argued that leaders who genuinely feared God would act with justice and integrity, avoiding the corruption and exploitation seen in various sectors.
Prophet Oluwoye, who is the founder of CAC Mountain Of Peace And Mercy, Ayepe Ijetu, Osogbo highlighted the detrimental impact of unethical practices and lack of fear of God, noting that followers also contribute to the nation’s troubles through price inflation and other forms of dishonesty.
This, he said, further undermines societal stability and exacerbates economic hardship.
In his sermon, Pastor Benjamin Kayode Ogunwale of Christ Apostolic Church, called on the congregation to return to their faith, seek forgiveness for themselves and their leaders, and make the fear of God a central part of their lives.
He emphasized the need for each and every member of society to go back to God, saying every parent must instil the spirit of God’s fearing into the heart of their children.
The message, themed “Price to Access His Great Mercy,” was based on Psalm 103:11, which speaks of God’s grace being available to those who live in accordance with His principles.
Pastor Ogunwale used this scripture to remind the audience that divine mercy is a blessing reserved for those who genuinely fear and revere God.
He concluded by stressing that the fear of God brings true contentment and helps individuals draw closer to divine mercy.
By prioritizing this reverence, Pastor Ogunwale believes that individuals and leaders alike can navigate the nation’s current challenges and work towards a more just and stable society.
Speaking, the founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Mercy and Praise, Ori-Oke Annu, Kajola Owode, Ede, and Pastor Daniel Agboolade, charged Christians on the need to have cordial relationships with God.
He said “We have to move with God and to secure relationship with God in many ways. We have to abide by His rules and regulations and all the commandments given to us.
He appreciated the people who came to honour him with their presence at the event. He however acknowledged the support of her wife who he described as a woman of virtue.
