Osun: Ogunbiyi Wins Own PU, Ward For Atiku, Other PDP Candidates

Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State delivered his polling unit and ward for H.E Atiku Abubakar and other candidates of the party in yesterday’s rescheduled general elections. He cast his ballot at Polling Unit 03, Ward 05, Ile-Ogbo in Ayedire local government in Osun. Announcing the result at the end of the polls, the Presiding officer confirmed that Atiku polled 147 votes to defeat president Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress, APC who scored 114 at the unit. For the senatorial election, the candidate of the PDP, Akogun Lere Oyewumi garnered 125 votes while APC’s Engineer Adelere Oriolowo polled 102 at the unit. For House of Representatives election, Alhaji Mudashir Lukman of PDP polled 135 to defeat his closest challenger, Mr Yunusa Amobi who polled 110.
