The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially declared the prolongation of the sale period for Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms as well as Delegate Forms pertaining to the upcoming 2024 Gubernatorial Primary Election in Ondo State.

This decision follows the conclusion of the initial sales period for the forms, which commenced on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, and was originally set to conclude on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, as outlined in the previously released revised timetable and activity schedule.

In an official statement authored by Felix Morka, Esq., the National Publicity Secretary for the APC, said the extension has been formally ratified, extending the deadline until Friday, April 5, 2024.

The party affirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent and inclusive electoral process in Ondo State.

Morka said the extension of the sale of nomination forms provides interested aspirants with more time to obtain the necessary documentation and participate in the party’s primary election.

Meanwhile, the party has made a whooping sum of N720 million after the sale of forms were purchased by no fewer than 16 aspirants vying for the party’s ticket ahead of the November 16 governorship election.

It was gathered that 14 male aspirants picked the forms for N50 million each, while two female contenders paid N10 million each for only the expression of interest form due to the party’s consideration for females and persons living with disabilities (PWD).

Among the male aspirants that purchased the forms are Governor Lucky Ayiedatiwa, Olusoji Ehinlanwo, Jimi Odimayo, Jimoh Ibrahim, and APC National Vice Chairman (South West) Isaacs Kekemeke.

Others are Wale Akinterinwa, Olugbenga Edema, Olusola Oke (SAN), Olamide Ohunyeye, Morayo Lebi, Oladiran Iyantan, Prof. Francis Faduyile, Mayowa Akinfolarin, and Ifeoluwa Oyedele.

Two female aspirants who threw their hats in the ring are Funmilayo Adekojo and

Funke Omogoroye.
