Crisis Hits Kwara APC Over Alleged Imposition

Protests yesterday rocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State over the alleged imposition of Lukman Abubakar as the APC Chairman of the Ifelodun Local Government Area.
The act was allegedly masterminded by the state Chairman Sunday Fagbemi alongside the Transition Implementation Chairman (TIC) for Ifelodun LGA Jide Asonibare and Mustapha Ishowo.
Fielding questions from our correspondent, the Ifelodun LGA acting APC Chairman Razaq Owolabi condemned the appointment.
He said: “This move has led to a loss of trust and confidence in the party’s leadership, highlighting the need for intervention to restore credibility and uphold democratic values, not only in the Ifelodun LGA but also across the state.”
