2023: Peter Obi Joins Presidential League, Declears Intention To Contest In PDP
Former governor of Anambra State,Mr. Peter Obi ,has joined the presidential race, as he decleared his intention to run for the presidency in 2023 general elections under the auspices of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ).
Obi made this declearation on thursday, while having a meeting with the Anambra state traditional rulers and leaders of various communities in Akwa.
He said the essence of the meeting was to pre-inform the royal fathers and leaders of various communities about his aspiration to run for the presidency and of course to seek for their prayers, blessings and supports before officially reaching out to the larger society.
Mr. Obi,a one time vice presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections under the platform of peoples democratic party (PDP) ,said : “I am ready for the race,to contest for the presidency”.
