Few weeks after the conduct of the Osun State Governorship Election, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared that it had concluded plans to drag the Independent National Electoral Commission, the People’s Democratic Party and its candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke before Election Petition Tribunal.
The Chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun, made the disclosure at a press conference, held at the party Secretariat, Osogbo, Osun state, on Thursday.
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winer of the gubernatorial election, held on July 16, 2022.
Famodun who told the party members to remain calm said there was no cause for alarm as the party is going to reclaim its mandate through legal means.
According to Famodun, the party and Governor Gboyega Oyetola legal counsels have told them they have a very good case at the tribunal, expressing optimism that the will of the people over the July 16 gubernatorial election shall prevail.
He said: “We are going to the Tribunal and our lawyers has let us know that we have good cases at the Tribunal.
