World Teacher’s Day: Ademola Adeleke Hails Teachers As Positive Force In Nation Building
The Osun State Governor-Elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke has promised a change in attitude to the well-being of teachers when he assumed office next month, saying that teachers deserve better than they are getting now.
In a message to commemorate World Teacher’s Day, Senator Adeleke lauded teachers for the sacrifices and dedication they put into their jobs, noting that they are the ladder that powered our dreams to reality.
“Teachers are the positive force in nation’s building”, he noted adding that “On this day, we are availed an opportunity to appreciate them for the dedications put into impacting knowledge in us and the role they played in building a better society.
“The time has come for the society to show they understand their work and reward them appropriately. I can assure that our administration will provide the necessary supports for teachers in doing their job just as their wellbeing will be our uttermost priority”, the Governor-elect promised.
While touching on his plan to improve performance of Osun state in statutory examinations, the Governor-elect said his agenda for the education sector has manpower well being as the core, adding “we are determined to uplift the working conditions of teachers and improve the learning environment for teachers and all stakeholders”.
