Osun Assembly Pledges Support For State Broadcasting Corporation
The Osun State House of Assembly has pledged to give support to the State Ministry of Information and Orientation to make it standout in services delivery.
The Chairman House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation Hon. Taiwo Adebayo Olodo made the pledge today at the ongoing budget defense exercise at the House of Assembly Osogbo.
He noted that the state ministry of information and orientation must be unique and give necessary support to stand convenient for information dissemination.
He urged the ministry to to always publicize every bills passed in the state house of assembly for the public to see.
He also advised to step up on their efforts on public sensitization.
According to him, “We want you to step up on effort on public sensitization”.
“The house of assembly will give adequate support to the ministry for better outfit” he added.
He asked the ministry to always do more on performance assessment.
The Chairman also promised to assist the ministry of Lands and Physical Planning to discharge their services well.
In their response, the Commissioner for land and physical planning Hon. Nathaniel Agunbiade said that the present governor Mr. Gboyega Oyetola is signing almost 20 Certificate of Occupancy per day to reduce applicants pains.
He said that the state owned and managed 18 housing estates in the state.
He solicited for the support of the lawmakers concerns land matters.
Among the ministry, departments and agencies of government appeared for defense exercise including Ministry of Information and Orientation, Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning, Osun State Property Development Corporation, Surveyor General Office, Osun Access Management Agency and Capital Territory Development Authority respectively.
