Ooni, Oba Of Benin To Grace Ife Business School, As VP Osinbajo, Gov Oyetola, Chief Of Defence Staff Delivers Lecture
The vice-president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Prof. Oluyemi Oluleke Osinbajo, SAN, GCON is to deliver the key note address at the fifth in the series of the Distinguished Lecture of IFE Business School, Ile-Ife, Osun State in honour of Chief Oyekunle Alex Duduyemi, OFR, Aro and Asiwaju of Ife.
The Distinguished Lecture Series of IFE Business School which was conceptualised in 2011 by the founder and visioner of the School, Dr.(Prince) Makinwa Adereti, fibs, was aimed to bring public speakers of the highest status from the world of academia, business, arts, diplomat, civil society to share their thoughts and ideas on matters of national importance.
The purpose of the Lecture Series is to provoke discussion and debate about a range of topics and national relevance to proffer solutions on the way forward.
IFE Business School is a Federal Government licensed Institution situated at Abayomi Omisore Avenue, Parakin Ouarters, Off Ede Road, Ile-Ife, listed in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination (JAMB) Brochure to award National Innovative Diploma (NID) in Business Management; Banking Operations; Financial & Insurance Management; Transport & Logistics Management and
Shipping Management.
The maiden Distinguished Lecture Series of IFE Business School (IBS) was delivered by the erudite Political Economist, Prof. Pat Utomi with the topic : ” LEADERSHIP DELINQUENCY AND THE PURSUIT OF POVERTY.”
The second in the series lecture was delivered in 2015 by Mr. James Plasman, Chief Economic Officer of the United States Consulate, Lagos with the topic: ” ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION : CATALYST FOR SUSTAINABLE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT”.
The third in the series lecture was delivered by : His Excellency, Chief (Dr.) Willie Obiano, Executive Governor of Anambra State in 2017 with the topic: “RECESSION: HARNESSING LOCAL RESOURCES FOR ECONOMIC RECOVERY.”
The fourth in the lecture series was delivered in 2018 by the His Excellency, Dr. Donald Duke, former Governor of Cross-River State with the topic:” DRIVING NIGERIA’S ECONOMIC GROWTH THROUGH ENTREPRENEURSHIP.”
In a statement made available to Journalists in Ile-Ife by the Institution’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. MacDonald Oladipo, said other speakers at the fifth Distinguished Lecture Series are: Alhaji Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, Executive Governor of Osun State, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of Defence Staff, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago, representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency of Niger State and Chairman, House of Representatives committee on Co-operation and Integration in Africa, Her Excellency, Prof. (Mrs.) Modupe Adelabu, former Deputy-Governor of Ekiti State and current Chairman, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The title of the lecture is :” IMPROVING THE STATE OF SECURITY IN NIGERIA THROUGH GOOD GOVERNANCE AND INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP.”
Exemplary Leadership award will be given to Chief Benjamin Adekunle (Benade); Hon. Abimbola Taofeek Ajilesoro, Member, House of Representatives representing Ife Federal Constituency, Hon.Tunde Olatunji, Chief-Whip, Osun State House of Assembly and Alhaji Mutiu Oladejo, CEO, Mudet Real Solutions Nig. Ltd amongst others.
The event will be chaired by Gen. Alani Ipoola Akinrinade (Rtd.),
Prince (Dr.) Makinwa Adereti, Rector, IFE Business School is the Host; His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin is the Royal Father of the day while His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife is the Chief Host.
The lecture will take place at the Conference Centre, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State on Thursday, 5th September, 2019 by 12:00 noon.
