Osun 2018: Oranmiyan Group Condemns Alleged Vandalization Of APC Candidate’s Campaign Billboards By Suspected Political Thugs
……Calls For Security Intervention
A sociological organization, Oranmiyan group has condemned in its entirety the vandalization of campaign billboards of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 22 governorship election in Osun State, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola by some hoodlums in Iwo, Ile-Ife and some other parts of the state.

The act which is barbaric is uncalled for and unexpected of a state like Osun whose citizens are known for Peace and the Omoluabi Ethos.
According to a statement by the group’s spokesman, Comrade Sodiq Olajide, described the unfortunate incident as a reflection of the non adherence of politicians to the spirit of sportsmanship that greets every contest.
Oranmiyan called on Security Agencies to unravel the perpetrators of the dastardly act and bring them to justice for damaging properties worth millions of Naira.
The group also urged political gladiators in the contest to see the election as a race which should be characterized with all sense of dignity, respect for the rule of law and the spirit of oneness.
