Ex-Oyo Deputy Gov, Arapaja Joins Guber Race
A former Oyo state deputy governor, Taofeek Arapaja has declared his intention to contest the 2019 gubernatorial election of the state on platform of African Democratic Congress.
Arapaja, who was Nigeria Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq disclosed this today while featuring on a radio programme monitored by CityMirrorNews.
He said his decampment to ADC, a party established by former President Olusegun Obasanjo to contest as governor in the state is as a result of his personal observation about the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, stating that political aims can not be achieved in isolation.
He stressed further that Nigeria political parties lack what is known as ideological separation.
Earlier in his discussion, he gave advice to the government to responsibly wake up to their responsibilities by providing all necessary security instruments needed by the Nigerian Police to fight crime and adequately build up security in the country.
He said payment of salary as at and when due and not depriving them of their benefits should be seriously taken care of by the government.
