NSCDC Apprehends Man For Stealing Yams In Osun
A 47-year-old man, Adebayo Kehinde has been convicted and sentenced to six years imprisonment for stealing sixty tubers of yam.
Adebayo was arrested and prosecuted by men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ila Division on a three-count charge bordering on theft.
Adebayo at arraignment plead guilty to the charges proffered against him.
Adebayo, found guilty of these offences on the October 25, 2017 was sentenced to two years imprisonment on each charge.
He was convicted on self admittance and sentenced to six months imprisonment.
Adebayo is to run the jail terms concurrently with option of paying thirty thousand Naira as fine.
