Oluwo @50: You Are A Monarch With A Difference – Salinsile

The Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in the State of Osun, Hon Rasaq Salinsile, has described the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi Telu I, as a quintessential traditional ruler and custodian of the culture and tradition of the Yoruba.
In his congratulatory message on the occasion of the monarch’s 50th birthday, the former lawmaker described Oba Akanbi as an achiever, bridge builder and accomplisher who has made his mark in the last 2 years of his ascension to the throne.
Salinsile noted the contributions of the traditional ruler in the preservation and promotion of the rich Yoruba cultural heritage at home and in diaspora as well as his efforts in the unity of the race worldwide.
The State APC Secretary described Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi as a dedicated leader who is committed to giving Iwo its pride of place in the comity of notable towns and cities in Yorubaland.
“It is a great honour to congratulate Your Royal Highness on the Golden anniversary of your birthday, described him as a man of great accomplishments within the short time of his ascension to the throne.
The statement further reads “Kabiesi deserves to be celebrated. He is an epitome of intelligence, culture and intellectualism in royalty. I particularly salute his commitment towards ensuring the unity among his subjects.
“As an epitome of hardwork, honesty and dedication to humanity; you have impacted positively on the Iwo community through your determination to change the turn of ruling in Iwoland. Through your strong-willed commitment for humanity and your positive impact on Iwoland has rekindled the hope and restored the glory of our community.
“As Kabiesi continues to age with grace, candour and resplendence, I wish him long life and sound health in the service to humanity.”
