We are in Economic Emergency Period – Aregbesola
Osun state Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on Wednesday February 10, 2016 said that Nigeria is in serious Economic Emergency Period as the dwindling economy continue to affect all the states.
He said this while signing the 2015 Public Procurement Bill into law at the Governor’s office, Abere.
He noted that the nation’s major economy, oil that was sold about 100 dollars in January 2014 is now selling below 40 dollars in the capital market.
Aregbesola who described the fall in the prize of oil as unfortunate for the nation, urged the youth to find means of engaging themselves and be productive.
“All young people should find something productive to do, especially in agriculture,” he advised.
He noted that his administration has helped farmers in no small way, promising that he would continue to give land to farmers without payment.
