Tinubu Celebrates Agricultural Icon Alhaji Olatunde Badmus on His Birthday
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has felicitated with renowned farmer and industrialist, Asiwaju Khamis Olatunde Badmus, on the occasion of his birthday, praising his pivotal role in Nigeria’s agricultural development.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Badmus as “a leading figure in the Nigerian agricultural sector” whose contributions have significantly shaped farming practices and national food security.
Tinubu noted that the celebrant’s enterprise, Tuns Farms, has created jobs and fostered entrepreneurship in agriculture and allied sectors. “Tuns Farms, for which Asiwaju Badmus is celebrated, has created jobs and stimulated entrepreneurship in the agricultural and allied sectors over time,” the President said.
He further commended Badmus’ influence in public policy and advocacy, stating that his work “has not only transformed the lives of countless farmers but has also played a crucial role in bolstering our nation’s food security and economic development.”
Beyond agriculture, Tinubu also acknowledged Badmus’ spiritual and community leadership as the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, describing him as a man who “has demonstrated visionary leadership in promoting spiritual growth and inclusive capacity development across all ages.”
President Tinubu wished the celebrant good health, long life, and continued prosperity.
