Adetshina Joins Miss Universe Contest After Withdrawing From Miss S’Africa
Following her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa pageantry, a Nigerian model with Mozambican heritage, Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, has announced her participation in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.
CityMirrorNews reports that Adetshina, a Top 11 finalist in the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant stepped down from the contest due to alleged nationality fraud.
The case got intense when the South African Department of Home Affairs called her out regarding potential fraud and identity theft by her mother.
In a video announcement, Adetshina confirmed her decision to join Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, expressing excitement about competing in Africa’s most prestigious beauty pageant.
“I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant… I am looking forward to participating in Africa’s most prestigious beauty pageant – Miss Universe Nigeria,” she said.
