Onward Specialist Hospital withdrawal From OHIA, On Mutual Consent – Executive Secretary
..Urges Enrollees To Update There Information
The Executive Secretary of the Osun State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Rasaq Akindele on Monday, disclosed that the withdrawal of the Onward Specialist Hospital from the Osun State Health Scheme, O’HIS, was based on mutual agreement from both party.
Akindele held that the hospital had written the agency prior to it withdrawal, siting inflation and internal restructuring as the reasons behind its action as against the claim of the opposition party in the state, All Progressive Congress, APC.
Speaking at a press conference held at the OSHIA’s conference room, Abere, Osun State, Akindele noted the agency has reached out to enrollees who are patient of the Onward Specialist Hospital to choose another available hospital.
In his words, “it’s condemnable for any person or group of persons to use the innocent withdrawal of ONWARD HOSPITAL from OHIS due to the economic situation of the country and internal restructuring of the hospital to mislead the public.
“if an hospital is withdrawing, we can’t force them against there will, all we do is to inform the enrollees in that hospital to choose any available hospital in there area,
“The process can be done within minutes at the agency, online or through our representatives at all local government areas for the sake of staying far.”
However, Akindele appealed to enrollees of the agency to update there information to allow easy access.
“I want to appeal to all our enrollees that does not have there complete details with us to come for an update.
