Bandits Slain Three Zamfara Security Operatives
At least three Zamfara State-owned Community Protection Guard (CPG) officials have been murdered by yet to be identified bandits.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, revealed that they were ambushed and slain in the Jambako area of the Maradun Local Government Area of the state.
Confirming the incident on Sunday in a post shared via his verified X handle, Zagazola disclosed that a source, known as Sanusi Muhammad, told him that the bandits ambushed the CPG officials in Tungar Nayarciga on their route to Faru town, and that they also stole their firearms and bikes.
He said: “Three officials of the Zamfara State-owned Community Protection Guard (CPG) have been ambushed and killed at Jambako area of Maradun local government area of the State.
“A source, Sanusi Muhammad told our correspondent that the bandits ambushed the CPG officials at Tungar Nayarciga on their way to Faru town.
“According to him, the Bandits also took away their weapons and bikes.
“The attack has generated tension and fear amongst the residents in the area.”
