Taiwo Oluga Consoles APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, Over Mother’s Death

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ayedade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. Taiwo Oluga, has expressed deep sympathy to the National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Basiru, over the death of his mother Alhaja Sidikat Abeke Basiru

In a condolence message made available to journalists on Sunday, Oluga described the passing of the late matriarch as a painful and irreplaceable loss, not only to the Basiru family but also to the numerous people whose lives she impacted through her values and exemplary upbringing.

She noted that the death of a mother, regardless of one’s age or status, leaves a vacuum that is difficult to fill, praying that God would grant Senator Basiru and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Oluga extolled the virtues of the deceased, saying she lived a fulfilled life marked by discipline, faith, compassion and unwavering commitment to family values.

According to her, the late mother of the APC National Secretary should be remembered for raising children who have distinguished themselves in public service and contributed meaningfully to the growth and development of society.

“I received the news of the passing of your beloved mother with profound sadness. The loss of a mother is one of life’s most painful experiences because of the unique role she plays in the family.

“On behalf of my family, political associates and supporters across Ayedade, Irewole and Isokan Federal Constituency, I extend my heartfelt condolences to you, your siblings and the entire Basiru family.

“My prayers are with you at this difficult time. May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her Aljanah Firdaus and give the family the strength and courage to bear this great loss,” Oluga said.

The former member of the House of Representatives also prayed that the memories and enduring legacy of the deceased would continue to comfort the family, urging them to take solace in the impactful life she lived and the values she instilled in her children.

She concluded by wishing Senator Basiru and the entire family divine comfort, peace and strength as they mourn the passing of their beloved mother.
