How Kwara Land Grabber, Gbenga Adebola Jagu Invades Communities With Thugs, Beats Up Residents
– Threatens To Kill Family Members Over Property
-Fingered In A Sudden Death Of Son Of Business Mogul

Gbenga Adebola popularly known as Jagu is a famous notorious criminal terrorizing residents of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Jagu was famous for molesting residents, he was a suspected robber as part of the crimes that made him dreaded within the popular Ibrahim Taiwo Area of Ilorin, the state capital.
Investigations show that Jagu is a land grabber who has been working as an agent for some notable indegines of the town.
Investigations also revealed that Jagu is working as a political thug usually engaged by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.
For too long, this notorious criminal terrorized residents of Ilorin and his environs and there seemed to be nothing the police could do to keep him behind bars due to his relationship with the ruling party.
March 4 , 2019 would remain an unforgeable day in the memory of residents of Sawmill, in Ilorin, as Jagu , the notorious land grabber, was said to have invaded the area with thugs armed with dangerous weapons including cutlass, broken bottles, axes, chasing people away from their shops and homes.
Residents of the area, according to one Alhaji Jamiu Ishola who told our Correspondent that the landlord association reported incident to security authorities.
Ishola alleged that Jagu and his cohorts through the backing of some notable politicians in the town, have been terrorizing and threatening the peace of the town since July 2018 when they invaded Gari Alimi area.
According to him, “Jagu and his boys invaded Gari Alimi, infact he moved to Odota and Lao, where residents of those communities were scampering for safety.
“We leant that after that attack on the people of Odota and Lao in the popular Airport area, he was apprehended before the rumors of his escape filtered the air which later confirmed to be true.
Jagu, a native of Pamo-Isin, Isin Local Government area of the state was said to have had issue with some family members whose his criminal actions have given them sleepless nights.
One of his brothers, late Toyin Afolaranmi was said to have had issue with Jagu after the death of his father, Pa Afolaranmi, the owner of Afolaranmi Produce Agency (NIG) Enterprise, Kwara.
Pa Afolaranmi reportedly died in a ghastly motor accident while on his way to his native town on Saturday, July 18, 2015.
The problem started when Jagu few days after late Afolaranmi, his father’s elder brother was interred.
A family member, who spoke under the condition of anonymity because of the fear of not being attacked said, after the burial ceremony of the late owner of Afolaranmi Produce Agency (NIG) Enterprise, Jagu insisted that the company of the late business mogul must be ceded to him.
This according to the source, did not go down well with the children of the late father who outrightly rejected the loathing proposal of the notorious thug and vowed to resist any attempt by him to forcefully confiscate their inheritance.
“Toyin AFolaranmi being the elder son of the late father, took it up with Jagu and was said to have vowed to eliminate anyone dare to taunt him.
“When the family noticed that the issue was getting out of the hand and became what the children of late Afolaranmi could not be handled, they intervened and summoned both Jagu and Toyin to a meeting at Pamo-Isin. Toyin was ordered to bring all the documents that have to do with the Afolaranmi Produce Agency (NIG) Enterprise and other properties belonging to his late father along.
“But, unfortunately, Toyin left Ilorin but could not make it down to Pamo-Isin until his lifeless body was found along the road on Saturday, August 15, 2020. And Jagu was allegedly fingered in the untimely death of Toyin”, the family source narrated .
However, it was leant that Jagu who has become the tools in the hand of politicians had reportedly threatened to kill the immediate younger brother of Toyin after his death because of his believe that after the demise of Toyin, his brother who was residing in Osogbo might want to fight back.
He was accused of attacking Toyin’s brother in Osogbo on Feb. 21 , 2021.
Efforts by the Afolaranmi family to restore peace was thwarted by Jagu when he allegedly led his thugs to the Village and beat one Idowu Oluwole to stupor.
It was gathered that Jagu used to tell his gang members that he would never be arrested alive and had vowed to go down with as many policemen as possible on the day he is unable to escape arrest. ‘
This vow was later found to be real, as anti cultism detectives recovered several loaded weapons such as guns , cutlasses , axes , charms from different parts of his residence, including the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, sitting room located to Ajase Ipo road , Idofian, Ilorin.
