Ebonyi born Master of Ceremonies (MC) and stand-up comedian, Nwota Chukwuemeka Walter popularly known as MC Walter who embarked on 130 hours non-stop entertainment in Abakaliki, the state capital which attracted thousands of people from all walks of life, has vowed to embark on more unusual things in the entertainment industry.

Nwota disclosed this to newsmen at the Citihub, Abakaliki on Sunday night after the conclusion of the 130 hours marathon entertainment which he started early last week.

Nwota who hails from Amike -Aba, Ebonyi local government area of the state, revealed to our Correspondent in an interview that he has started thinking more strange things to do in the entertainment industry to continue to make his fans Happ who he said always spur him in the industry.

The lanky MC commended Governor Francis Nwifuru, his wife Uzoamaka and many eminent personalities in the state who cheered him up during the 130 hours marathon entertainment.

“I embarked on the 130 hours marathon entertainment I just concluded to make my self proud, make my family proud, make Ebonyi State and Nigeria proud.

“It is something like a target I give myself every year. I intend to do greater bigger things for myself every year. Last year, I was the first MC/stand-up comedian that hosted a show in the stadium. There has never been an MC that hosted a comedy show in a stadium.

“So, this year, I thought of something I can do that will also maintain that level of expectations from my fans, supporters and everyone.

“So, I thought of something different and I came up with this and that is it. I thank God for this and I also thank thousands of my fans and supporters for embracing it.

“My fans are the best, I love them, they love me and they spur me. They are always there for me.

“I thank His Excellency our Governor for the encouragement he gave me. On Saturday morning, he called to check on me, to know how I am doing, to know if I am sound and okay. His call alone was very encouraging to me. Even his wife Her Excellency called me more than twice to check upon me to know whether I am still strong. I thank them alot and I pray God to enrich them with more wisdom to continue to take wise decisions for our dear state.

“By next year or any moment from now, I should be thinking of a bigger thing, a different thing to do to continue to make my fans proud. The main thing is to keep the pace high, keep giving your fans the best because to who much is given, much is expected.

“If my fans can be turning up like this in their thousands even under the rain, that means I have to leave up my creativity for them”, he stated.

Meanwhile, Governor Francis Nwifuru has Congratulated him for the successful completion of the 130 hours marathon entertainment.

He described the MC as a quintessential Comedian who has made immense contributions to the entertainment industry..

” I join fans and people of goodwill in celebrating our young talented Walter as he sets global record in entertainment. It did not come to me as a surprise because he has always been a talented and resourceful entertainer whose passion and dedication knew no bounds”.

” With his creative talent, passion and dedication, Walter has not only carved a niche for himself but has placed Ebonyi State and Nigeria in the global spotlight” , Nwifuru said in a statement made available to journalists.

The Governor who commended Nwota for making Ebonyi entertainment industry a global brand, encouraged youths to emulate him by working assiduously to make maximum use of their talents.

He assured that his administration will continue to use the Ministry of Skills Development and job creation to encourage youths to harness their potentials and get to the zenith of their career.

The Governor commended Ebonyi people for their solidarity which he said was a huge encouragement to the young Walter to achieve the rare distinction of achieving a world record. ENDS
