While the rest of men are running away from COVID-19, a popular royal father has asked God to inflict him with the virus and spare the rest of the world
This rare gesture is coming from the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi
News making the rounds on social media quoted the monarch thus: “God, infect me with Covid-19 and leave the rest of the world out of it,”
The royal father took the measure apparently saddened by the enormity of impact the virus was exacting on humanity.
The video shows him sitting on his throne, in his full royal regalia, and saying a prayer.
“I’m not king, God is King. You created everything,” he began in the video.
He then proceeded to ask God to make the virus come and inflict him.
He added that he is laying his body down as God instructed him.
