Ondo To Get License For Okeluse Cement Factory Soon—Ajipe

The Chief Executive Officer, Klick Konnect Networks International Limited, Chief Alex Ajipe, at the weekend disclosed that Ondo state government will soon get the license for Okeluse cement factory from the federal government in producing cement in the state.

Ajipe, who disclosed this while interacting with online journalists in Akure, said plan have been concluded to have the license before this year runs out.

According to him, if Ondo state government got the license, about one thousand tones of cement will be generating on daily basis maintaining that the factory would be another avenue in creating more jobs for young men and women of the state.

He said, “we are already processing the license for Okeluse cement factory. By God’s Grace, before the end of the year, we will get the license from the federal government and we will generate one thousand tones of cement on daily basis. We are also working on Okeluse ethanol factory.

“Previous governments in Ondo State had signed various MOU but didn’t see the light of the day, however, the present government with it’s commitment, integrity and credibility has wooed lot’s of investors. In this administration, over 95 percent of the MOU signed have been implemented”.

Ajipe, who is also the Manager, Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub, Ore, disclosed that over one thousand investors have subscribed to the second phase of the hub saying the hub would generate over 20,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities when working at its full capacity.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday commissioned the Ore flyover and the first phase of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub located in Ore, Ondo State.

“The second phase of the Industrial Hub is going to be more or less like a market. So, the representatives of companies that won’t be able to come down to Nigeria will produce their materials or products up to 80% while their representatives at the Hub will do the finishing by completing the 15%. It will have assembly plant for cars and trucks. It will have agrochemical factory among others”, Ajipe said.

He posited that no fewer than 15 different companies were already sited in the first phase of the hub for operations which included wood processing, textile company, exploration and agriculture.

”As I speak with you now, the first phase of the hub is already producing different types of threads and they’ve gone pass that stage by producing lace materials and it will soon start to produce ankara fabrics and 80 percent of the workers are females.

“The industrial hub, which is called Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub, came into being by signing of MOU between Linyi City in Shangai Province of China and Ondo State Government”.

Ajipe explained that ” we are consultant to Ondo State Ministry of Natural Resources, a development consultant to the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, we are also revenue consultant to Kano state government and very recently we were engaged by Kwara State Government, so we are basically partners with Ondo State Government. Basically, our mission is to create employment, empowerments, increase IGR, and provide conducive environment for the people of Ondo State”.

Ajipe who also cleared the air some insinuation making around in the state that its Klick Konnect Networks collecting money for the state saying, “we don’t collect any money on behalf of the Ondo state government, our job entails facilitating investors and this is made easy because we belong to various international bodies. Our job with Ondo state government involves monitoring and blocking loopholes and this has helped in creasing the IGR of the state”.

He, therefore said that the integrity of the state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has helped in booming the economy of the state tremendously.
