Ondo Govt Announces Death Of SSG
The Ondo State Government has announced the death of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Temitayo Oluwatuyi, who passed away on January 4, 2025.
Oluwatuyi, a dedicated public servant, succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident on 15 December 2024.
The accident occurred while he was travelling to Ibadan, leading to his subsequent hospitalisation.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Otunba ‘Wale Akinlosotu, the government described Oluwatuyi as an exemplary administrator who made significant contributions to the progress of Ondo State.
“Oluwatuyi’s unwavering commitment to administrative coordination, policy advisory, and implementation left an indelible mark on Ondo State,” the statement read.
He was praised for his service in various capacities, including as Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Commissioner, and his two terms as Secretary to the State Government. His contributions to the state’s development were noted as invaluable.
The government extended its condolences to the Oluwatuyi family of Akure, as well as his friends and associates, during this period of grief.
Details of the memorial arrangements will be made public in due course.
