I Have Not Pledged Allegiance To Adeleke — Imumolen
Factional presidential candidate of the Accord Party in the 2027 general elections, Chris Imumolen, has denied reports that he pledged allegiance to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
Imumolen, who spoke on Thursday during an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Day Break’, said he has no personal issue with anyone seeking political office.
He stressed that his only concern is the restoration of what he described as the rightful leadership and structure of the party through legal means.
“I have not pledged any personal allegiance to Governor Adeleke. I have no issue with anyone aspiring to political office,” he said.
“My only concern is ensuring that the right process is followed in Accord, so the party does not produce a governor who could lose office over irregularities.
“Accord does not produce a governor who would eventually lose the seat because of some inappropriate process that brought the person in.
“I’m only trying to make sure that the chairmanship position of Accord, which I rightfully won, is restored through the right process, which is the court,” he added.
