Baptist Youth Holds Annual Conference in Warri

Nigerian Baptist youths under the aegis of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, NBCYC, has commenced its 46th Annual Conference holding at First Baptist Church, Warri, Delta state with the theme – Open Heavens.
The spirit filled conference with the text – Deuteronomy 28:12 opened on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 with theme Interpretation taking by the Youth National Coordinator of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, Rev. IbukunOluwa Joshua Sunday.
In his introduction, Rev. IbukunOluwa said that Moses “reviewed the Law at the doorstep to the Promised Land, urging this new generation to re-covenant with Yahweh, to recommit themselves to His ways. It is this new life that will make God to open the heaven upon them. We are the covenant people of God and these promises are meant for us”.
He highlighted steps to enjoying open heaven which includes entering into a relationship; obedience to the words of the Lord and a receptive heart. Others include admonition not to allow doubt; awareness of the presence of the enemy; running away from idolatry and making their lives a testimony and a witness.
He concluded by praying for the youths that God brings all the blessings into their lives and quoted the Conference theme.
The program which will end on Friday, August 11, 2018 is expected to host the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, who is also the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev. Dr. Samson ‘Supo Ayokunle and other dignitaries.
The power packed program will witness spiritual devotions, fasting and prayers and seminar papers on health, employment family, discipleship and politics among others.
