2027: Olajengbesi Projects One Million Votes For Tinubu In Osun

The Accord Party candidate for the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu could secure more than one million votes in Osun State in the 2027 presidential election.

Olajengbesi made the projection on Saturday after a meeting with the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

In a statement personally signed by him, the Accord candidate attributed the projection to what he described as the political reconciliation that has taken place in Osun State following the 2026 governorship election.

He also pointed to Governor Ademola Adeleke’s expressed willingness to work with the Federal Government as part of the factors he believes could facilitate increased support for Tinubu in the state.

“With the reconciliation achieved in Osun State and the commitment expressed by Governor Ademola Adeleke towards President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our political objective is clear: to mobilise over one million votes for President Tinubu in Osun State in the next presidential election,” Olajengbesi said.

He also commended Seyi Tinubu for what he described as his support for greater youth participation in governance and his position during the 2026 Osun governorship election.

Olajengbesi said the President’s son had continued to engage young Nigerians, create opportunities for them and encourage their participation in political and public affairs.

“Perhaps one of the most consequential bets young Nigerians have had around this administration is Seyi Tinubu,” he said.

“He has consistently chosen to engage with young people, strengthen the negotiating power of our generation, support aspirations, open doors, build relationships and invest in possibilities.”

Olajengbesi, who is seeking election to represent Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, said the political developments in Osun had created an opportunity for broader cooperation and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

His projection, however, remains a political target rather than an established electoral outcome, as the 2027 presidential election is yet to be held.
