Guest Platform: Osun NUJ To Host State Assembly Deputy Speaker, Oyewusi Tomorrow

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State Council, will on Wednesday host the Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Akinyode Oyewusi, as guest at another edition of the Osun NUJ Guest Platform.

The event is scheduled to commence by 11 in the morning at the NUJ Press Centre, beside Government Technical College, Osogbo.

Themed “The Role of Legislature in Ensuring Free, Fair, and Credible Elections,” the programme will provide a platform for robust discourse on the responsibilities of lawmakers in strengthening democratic institutions and safeguarding electoral integrity ahead of the Osun governorship election.

According to the Chairman of the NUJ, Osun State Council, Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin, the choice of the Deputy Speaker is informed by his experience in governance, lawmaking, and democratic development.

The event is expected to attract journalists, political stakeholders, civil society groups, students, and members of the public interested in democratic governance and electoral reforms.
