Ekiti Poll: INEC Urges Peaceful Voters Participation
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has urged eligible voters in Ekiti State to participate actively in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for Saturday, 20th June 2026.
In its official message tagged #EkitiDecides2026, the commission reminded residents that voting represents a critical civic responsibility that shapes governance, development, and the future of communities.
INEC emphasized that polling units across the state will open by 8:00am and close by 2:30pm, urging voters to arrive early and conduct themselves peacefully during the exercise.
The commission reiterated its commitment to ensuring a credible, transparent, and inclusive electoral process, noting that adequate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the election.
It further called on political stakeholders, security agencies, and residents to maintain order before, during, and after the polls, stressing that peaceful participation remains key to a successful democratic process.
