In a bid to boost infrastructural development and honor a long-standing family legacy, media entrepreneur, Prince Mathew Adesegun Ibiyemi has successfully undertaken the rehabilitation of a major community road in the Kosere area in Ife, Osun State.

Addressing residents during the flag-off of the project, Prince Ibiyemi emphasized that the gesture was rooted in his family’s deep-seated commitment to uplifting communities.

He noted that the Ibiyemi family will always uphold its legacy of impacting the lives of people wherever they reside or hail from.

Prince Ibiyemi seized the occasion to challenge community members to abandon political apathy and actively participate in the democratic process, particularly in the forthcoming elections.
“I cannot do it alone despite my good intentions. If we have good representatives in government, projects like this are the primary responsibilities of government. We must collect our voter cards and ensure we participate in the forthcoming elections. We have a stake in this, and we must ensure we elect those who will deliver the dividends of democracy,” Ibiyemi emphasized.

Reflecting on his past stance on politics, Ibiyemi admitted to a change of heart born out of civic necessity.

“Years ago when I was younger than I currently am, I would have advised that we should stay away from politics, but having seen how disastrous it is when we fail to make our voices heard by voting, we will reap the repercussions of our inaction. Vote and encourage others to do so,” he urged.

Looking ahead to the upcoming Osun gubernatorial polls, Ibiyemi openly drummed up support for Asiwaju Munirudeen Oyebamiji (popularly known as AMBO), describing him as the ideal candidate to steer Osun State toward progress.

Ibiyemi asserted that the state deserves nothing short of quality governance, which he believes Oyebamiji is well-equipped to deliver.

The rehabilitation project was received with immense gratitude by local leaders and residents, who praised Ibiyemi for his consistent interventions in the community.

Comrade Olukugo, Chairman, Kanmi Community) commended Ibiyemi’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development.

He remarked that since the passing of the late patriarch of the Ibiyemi family, Prince Mathew has not only filled his father’s shoes perfectly but has surpassed previous achievements.

Another community leader, Mr. Eludire applauded Ibiyemi for always prioritizing the welfare of the people.

He recalled that the road rehabilitation comes on the heels of Ibiyemi’s recent donation and installation of solar-powered streetlights across the community in 2025.

In a unanimous voice vote, the community pledged their full support to Ibiyemi, declaring that they would follow his political lead, formally endorsing the candidacy of Asiwaju Munirudeen Oyebamiji.

With the newly rehabilitated road now open for use, residents expressed renewed hope for both infrastructural growth and political accountability in the region.
