Shafaudeen Founder, Prof. Olagoke, Condoles With Oba Ajibola Over Wife’s Death
The Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen-in-Islam Worldwide and Mogaji Aare Alasa Dynasty in Ibadanland, Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke, JP, has extended his condolences to the Balogun of Ibadanland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, over the death of his wife, Olori Basirat Ajibola, the Aare Onibon Iyalode of Ibadanland.
In a condolence message personally signed by him, Professor Olagoke described the death of Olori Ajibola as a painful loss to the royal family, Ibadanland and the wider community of women leaders who upheld family values, cultural heritage and human dignity.
He said the late Olori lived an exemplary life characterised by humility, piety, compassion and unwavering support for her husband and the traditional institution of Ibadanland.
According to him, her contributions to the family and society, as well as her commitment to humanity, would remain a source of inspiration to those who knew her.
“We received with deep shock the news of the passing of Olori Basirat Ajibola. She was a virtuous woman, a pillar behind the throne, and a matriarch whose quiet strength and devotion to humanity will remain indelible. Her departure has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill,” he said.
Professor Olagoke urged Oba Ajibola and members of the bereaved family to find comfort in the worthy life the deceased lived, noting that the moment called for total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, who gives and takes life at His appointed time.
He emphasised the need for faith and patience in the face of the painful loss, while praying for divine comfort and strength for the royal family.
The Islamic leader prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) would forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant her Aljanah Firdaus and grant the Balogun, her children, the entire Ajibola family, the Olubadan-in-Council and the people of Ibadanland the fortitude to bear the loss.
“On behalf of myself, my family and the entire Shafaudeen-in-Islam Worldwide, I extend our heartfelt condolences to His Royal Majesty and pray that Allah grants the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
