Edo APC Chairman Threatens to Bite Peter Obi, Says ‘I Hate Him’
The Edo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jarrett Tenebe, has expressed strong personal dislike for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), threatening to spit in his face and bite his nose and ear if they meet.
Tenebe made the remarks during an interview with Tribune, while defending the policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and explaining his earlier comment about opening “AK-47 fire” on those opposing the President.
The APC chieftain also threatened to spit in the faces of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and Obi over their criticisms of Tinubu’s government.
“If I see them, I will spit in their faces,” Tenebe said.
He, however, singled out Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, insisting that his dislike for the opposition politician was personal.
“As for Obi, I hate him, and I maintain that. If I see him, I will spit in his face and bite his nose. I will pretend that I want to tell him something, then bite his ear and chew it. Take it like that. I hate him,” he was quoted as saying.
Tenebe also questioned the political compatibility of Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, whom he described as Obi’s running mate under the NDC platform.
He argued that the two politicians held conflicting positions on certain issues, raising questions, in his view, about their ability to work together in governing the country.
The Edo APC chairman cited what he perceived as differences between the two politicians over alcohol consumption as an example of the alleged contradictions in their political alliance.
His comments come amid heightened political exchanges among prominent figures and parties as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
