Osun 2026: Ex-Firstlady, AMBO’s Wife, Ex-deputy Gov Take APC Campaign To Osun Markets, Seek Traders’ Support

The former Firstlady of Osun State, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola, joined by the wife of governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress(APC), Dr Sekinat Oyebamiji, former deputy governor, Mrs Titilaoye Ponle and other women leaders of the party have stormed Osogbo market for voters’ education to assist traders in voting for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji(AMBO) on August 15.

The team under the canvasser group called Akoni Obinrin led by Mrs Kafayat also have the wife of the deputy governorship candidate, Princess Adebukola Adereti and APC Women Leader, Alh. Kudirat Fakokunde among others.

The engagement which was held at the popular Orisunmbare Market Osogbo attracted leaders of markets, traders, market women and residents of the state.

Addressing the traders, Dr Oyebamiji said “This market is home coming for us, you are all familiar with AMBO and his agenda for our dear State, my mothers Iyalojas well done for your mobilization for our party.

“I was told that market women in orisunmibare will not support us but I refuted the claim, now I am more confident that you are for us after inviting us here to canvases for you and educate your on where to vote.

“You have received the message of AMBO and you only want to hear it clearer by inviting us here today. I am confident that the PROPER agenda will accommodate women especially traders largely because we can’t talk about prosperity without you.”

She charged them to work assiduously for the victory of AMBO in Osogbo, saying “I want to tell you that AMBO is the answer to the economic reform of Osun State for prosperity.

“Please go out en masse to cast your vote for AMBO, while going to polling units, don’t go alone but take along six people to cast their votes for APC. This vote must be massive, don’t listen to their propaganda and don’t fight them.”

The former Firstlady, Mrs Oyetola, showed the market women the specimen of ballot paper and urged them to vote for APC.

She said “You will not see the picture of AMBO on the ballot but APC with its logo, vote for us and you will not regret it. I can assure you.”

Earlier, the Babaloja of Orisunbare, Chief Qamarudeen Adeoti, assured the team of their support, stating the the current administration of Accord has failed them.
