Osun Renewed Hope Ambassadors Disown Planned ‘Unity Rally, Peace Walk’ Linked To PBAT + Imole Movement
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Osun State Secretariat, has distanced itself from a planned programme tagged “Unity Rally and Peace Walk for PBAT + Imole,” describing the organisers as unknown to the group and not part of its structure.
In a disclaimer signed by the State Coordinator of the group, Ambassador Oluomo Sunday Akere, the organisation said it had no connection with the group identified as Renewed Hope Movement in Osun, its sponsors or the planned rally.
According to the statement, the group behind the programme lacked the authority to speak for or represent the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Osun State.
“The group is not known to us, it is not part of our structure, and it has no authority to speak for, act for, or represent the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Osun State,” the statement read.
The group also warned members of the three against what it described as attempts to mislead residents by operating under the “Renewed Hope” identity associated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political agenda.
Akere stated that the Renewed Hope agenda remains rooted in the All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that it should not be used by political interests outside the ruling party in Osun State.
The statement reaffirmed the group’s loyalty to President Tinubu, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, and the APC governorship candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.
According to the group, it would not be part of any arrangement aimed at linking support for President Tinubu with what it called “the political agenda of the Imole camp or any other opposition tendency in Osun State.”
“For clarity, the choice of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the August 15, 2026 governorship election is no other person than the candidate and flagbearer of the APC, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji,” the statement added.
The group further urged APC members, supporters of the President and the public to disregard the planned rally, insisting that the organisers were not recognised members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors structure in Osun State.
It added that the organisation would continue working with APC leaders, stakeholders and grassroots structures across the state to mobilise support for Tinubu, Oyebamiji and other APC candidates ahead of future elections.
