KRAD Donates ₦1m as Ifon-Orolu Celebrates Annual Odun Adé Festival

The annual Odun Adé Festival came alive in Ifon-Orolu, Osun State, yesterday, as sons and daughters of the ancient town, alongside dignitaries from within and outside the state, gathered to celebrate the community’s rich cultural heritage, with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Osun Central Senatorial candidate, Abdulrasheed Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (KRAD), SAN, donating ₦1 million to support the event.
KRAD, who was represented by the Assistant Secretary of the APC in Osun State, Comrade Waheed Adediran, attended the festival in honour of the royal invitation extended to him by the Olufon of Ifon-Orolu.
Speaking during the celebration, Adediran conveyed KRAD’s goodwill message to the Olufon, the Council of Chiefs and the people of Ifon-Orolu, reaffirming the APC senatorial candidate’s respect for traditional institutions and commitment to promoting Yoruba cultural values.
As a mark of support for the festival, Adediran announced a donation of ₦1 million on behalf of KRAD to the organisers, a gesture that drew applause from traditional rulers, community leaders and guests at the event.
He described the Odun Adé Festival as a symbol of the unity, identity and cultural heritage of the Ifon-Orolu people, urging the community to preserve its customs while embracing development and peaceful coexistence.
Adediran also reiterated KRAD’s commitment to effective representation, youth empowerment, community engagement and initiatives that promote cultural preservation and sustainable development across Osun Central Senatorial District.
The festival featured colourful cultural displays, traditional dances, masquerade processions, musical performances and royal ceremonies, attracting traditional rulers, political leaders and visitors from different parts of the country.
Members of the KRAD delegation expressed appreciation to the Olufon of Ifon-Orolu and the people of the community for the warm reception accorded them, while commending the organisers for staging a peaceful and successful festival.
They also prayed for continued peace, unity and prosperity in Ifon-Orolu Kingdom and reaffirmed KRAD’s commitment to supporting programmes that promote cultural heritage, community development and inclusive growth in Osun Central Senatorial District.
