Sallah VIsit: I’ll Return To Tinubu As Osun Governor Next Year – Oyebamiji
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2026 Osun State election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has expressed confidence that he will return to pay Sallah homage to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu next year as the governor of the state.
Oyebamiji made the declaration in a statement in Lagos on Monday, after joining the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Governor of Osun State, Dr Adegboyega Oyetola, on a Sallah visit to President Tinubu.
The APC candidate said the visit provided an opportunity to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir festivities with the President and reaffirm the commitment of the party’s leadership to the progressive ideals that continue to drive development across the country.
According to him, it was a privilege to accompany Oyetola to pay homage to the President, whom he described as a father, national leader, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“I had the honour of joining our leader, His Excellency, Dr. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, to pay Sallah homage to our father and national leader, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” Oyebamiji said.
Expressing optimism about the outcome of the 2026 governorship election in Osun State, Oyebamiji said he remains confident that with divine grace and the support of the people, the APC would secure victory at the polls.
“By the grace of God and the support of the people of Osun, I remain confident that in the coming year, I will return for this same noble visit as the Governor of our dear state, alongside other progressive governors, in continued service to our people and the advancement of our shared vision for a greater Nigeria,” he stated.
Oyebamiji reiterated his commitment to providing purposeful leadership and sustaining the progressive agenda in Osun State, pledging to work towards improving the welfare of residents and contributing to national development if elected governor.
The APC candidate has been intensifying consultations and engagements with stakeholders across the state ahead of the 2026 governorship election, positioning himself as the party’s standard-bearer in the contest.
