Iwo APC House Of Assembly Aspirant Resigns From Party
A House of Assembly aspirant for Iwo State Constituency, Osun State, Chief Diekola Ismail Adefowope, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
His resignation was contained in a letter dated July 1, 2026, which was made public on Wednesday.
Adefowope said the decision followed wide consultations and disclosed that he was quitting the party alongside members of his political structure across Iwo Federal Constituency and other parts of the state.
“I hereby announce my immediate resignation from the party, together with my entire DIA Movement. I will urge my lovers and followers to cease any association with the APC from today onwards,” the letter read.
The aspirant appreciated the APC for the opportunities he had during his time in the party.
“I thank the APC for giving me the opportunity to serve in various capacities during my membership,” he stated.
