2027: I’ll Join Any Arrangement To Remove Tinubu – Jigawa Ex-Gov, Lamido
An erstwhile governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has vowed that he was willing to join any arrangement to remove President Bola Tinubu from office in 2027.
Lamido spoke in an interview on Arise TV as the country’s political arena gets hotter against the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
It will be recalled that a coalition of opposition leaders on Friday formed the All Democratic Alliance, ADA, a political party with the view to locking horns with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the next presidential election.
DAILY POST reports that the newly formed coalition party is spearheaded by former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and the immediate past governor of Kaduna State Nasir el-Rufai.
According to Lamido, who is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, he is open to joining any entity no matter its nomenclature if it will get the APC out of power.
He accused the Tinubu’s administration of dividing Nigeria along ethnic lines and using the institution of the state in manipulating, coercing and controlling the opposition.
The ex-governor also alleged that the entire government is not for Nigerians but for the political party.
“I am part of any arrangement, no matter its nomenclature, to remove this government of incompetence, insecurity, that is dividing Nigeria firmly between north and south, out of power. I will go into any arrangement for that purpose.
“I will be part of any arrangement, configuration if it is going to remove this government from power,” the former Jigawa governor said.
