NUJ’s Zone B Felicitates Christians At Easter

The Nigeria Union Of Journalists, (Nuj Zone B) has extended heartfelt felicitations to Christians across Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of the 2025 Easter celebration, urging members of the the union to embrace the spirit of the season and offer fervent prayers for the nation to overcome current security challenges.

In a statement jointly signed by the Vice Chairman, Comrade Ronke Samo and Secretary, Comrade Abdulrasaq Alege, and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo, the union emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the lessons of Lent and the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, whose resurrection is being celebrated.

“The zone called on our esteemed christian faithful to use the period of christ sacrifice and the joyful renewal it brings to all Nigerians in the spirit of the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which Easter celebrations signified.

“NUJ zone B also calls on our members to use this sacred period to pray for our beloved country to overcome the security as well as other challenges facing Nigeria as a country presently, particularly the security challenge being experienced in most part of Nigeria, mostly in the Norhern part.

“Nigeria is our own Jerusalem, we don’t have any other country to claim. We should all continue to pray for its peace, unity and oneness.

“May this easter inspire you all to new hope, faith, love and Joy.
