Ekiti State University Mourns As Social Sciences Dean Dies In Auto Crash
The Ekiti State University community has been thrown into mourning following the death of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Olu Olufayo, popularly known as Prof. Olu-Olu, who reportedly died in an accident in Ado-Ekiti.
The industrial sociology and labour relations expert was said to have been involved in the accident on Friday around the GRA axis of the state capital.
University sources said Prof. Olu-Olu was seen in his office earlier on Friday before the incident occurred.
“It was a sad situation for us in the university when we heard about the unfortunate incident because he was still in the office on Friday morning, hale and hearty.
“May God comfort his family, colleagues and the university community,” the source added.
Until his death, Prof. Olufayo served as the Dean of Social Sciences and was a former chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), EKSU chapter.
