Outrage As Lagos Teacher Caught Physically Assaulting 3-Yr-Old Pupil In Viral Video
In a shocking incident that has sparked widespread outrage, a teacher at Christ-Mitots School in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Stella Nwadigo, was captured on video physically assaulting a three-year-old pupil, Abayomi Micheal.
Osun Defender reports that the disturbing footage shows the teacher maltreating the innocent child when she asked the child to write some numbers in a book.
As a result, this has generated to lot of mixed reactions from Nigerians.
@Rukee_xo: Because we want student to learn as fast as possible doesn’t mean we should expose them to physical abuse , i couldn’t even watch this video , as someone who advocates for education I find this devastating, why would a child who is at an education facility be exposed to such treatment . There are several means to make a child learn , every child doesn’t have the same learning ability.
@Johnnyharrt: Absolutely disturbing! A 3-year-old child deserves nurturing and care, not physical abuse. Stella Nwadigo’s actions are unacceptable and Christ-Mitots School needs to take immediate action. Protecting our children is everyone’s responsibility!
@TheManAfricano: See the boy not even crying. So used to beatings like this.
@savinha: Cctvs should be in classes and be monitored by the principal
@Alpha_Femalee: God, those slaps are heavy
@TadyJerry: This is not good. Children like this need patience and grace from their teachers. This little boy doesn’t deserve this treatment, he’s too small for this. Teachers should be tested and evaluated before they’re allowed to teach but in Nigeria, any jobless person can become a teacher not necessarily having the quality to become one. The foundation is very important. We have work to do as a people.
