Man Speaks Out After Spending Five Years In Prison For Helping Neighbour
Samuel Akibinu has narrated how he spent five years in prison after assisting his friend and neighbour, Isaac Micheal.
He said that his friend asked him to assist in the accommodation of a lady named Favour, whom he had introduced to him as his sister, not knowing that his friend was not related to the lady.
According to Akibinu, the lady ran away with his money and goods, and that four months later, the lady’s father accused him of defiling his daughter. He said he was charged with abduction and defilement.
He said he was made to spend five years in prison before an NGO rallied to his aid and ensured his release.
