Osun Court Remands Man Over Alleged Assault, Malicious Damage

A 29- years-old man, Nurudeen Qudus, was ordered to be remanded at the ilesha correctional centre for allegedly assaulting one Awoyemi Bosede.
Qudus who was brought before the court by the Osun State Police Command was accused of damaging the victim’s property.
Police Prosecutor, Inspector Adejola Adesuyi, informed the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on January 19th, 2026, about 7:30pm at Amala ‘N’ Cuisine Express, Osogbo.
Adejola told the court that, the defendant has been disturbing Awoyemi Bosede to befriend him, for the past two-years before coming to her shop to assault and destroy her glass door, value Five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000).
According to the Prosecutor, the offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 351 and 451 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. ll Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.
The accused pleaded guilty to the first-count charge but not guilty to the second-count charge levelled against him.
In her ruling, Magisterate O.A Daramola, ordered the defendant to be remand at the ilesha correctional center.
Therefore, The case was adjourned till February 10,2026 for trial.
