Driver Rescued As Kidnappers Abduct Passengers In Osun
No fewer than four passengers including the driver were reportedly kidnapped on Friday by some gunmen who hijacked a Mazda car on Ikirun/ Osogbo expressway.
A source said the kidnappers emerged from a bush along Ikirun/Osogbo expressway.
It was learnt that the victims were coming from Iragbiji, navigating towards Osogbo before they were accosted by the suspects who asked them to alight.

It was gathered that the driver of the vehicle escaped from the kidnappers den while the remaining three others passengers were said to still remain in the captivity.
Confirming the incident, the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said the police could not give the number of the people that were kidnapped.
Opalola further explained that vehicle of the victims that was abandoned has been towed to police station in Ikirun.

According to Opalola, “We don’t know the numbers of people that were kidnapped but the vehicle of the victims that was abandoned has been towed to our station in Ikirun. The driver of the car has been found.
“Search and rescue mission is ongoing. We are combing the forest to ensure that we arrested them.”
