NYSC Member Donates Borehole To Community In Cross River

A serving Member of National Youth Service Corps, identified as Salisu Aishat has donated a borehole water project to Itigidi Community in Abi Local Government , cross river state.
Mrs Salisu with state code number CR/21B/0413 Batch 2021/2022 initiated, harmonised and mobilised efforts towards the successful bringing a borehole facility to ameliorate the suffering of the residents towards access to portable water.
Speaking with our correspondent, the corp member said she donated the project with a view to providing a sustainable access to safe drinking water for the community.

She stated that since was posted to Itigidi Community she remained focused, determined and goal driven by ensuring that she keeps the interest of making life more meaningful to the people of people in the community.

” I thanked the National Youth Service Corps scheme for creating avenue to keenly serve humanity. I was moved towards the selfless service to humanity having observe the stress and suffering of the community residents towards accessing portable water”.
The commissioning had in attendance the Chairman of the Local government represented by Mr Isaac Magnus. The state coordinator represented by Head of CDS – Mr Peter Achighili, the chiefs of the itigidi community headed by HRH John NKanu Ivon, Dr. Obi okang (Medical Superintendent Eja Memorial Hospital Itigidi), the Itigidi women Association Calabar and Itigidi, Abi Local Government corp members and well wishers.
She also appreciated, all that make out time to attend the occasion which attracted various government functionaries and community leaders among other dignitaries present.
