Court Grants Bail To Two Journalists Remanded Over Petition By Kwara Gov’s Spokesman
A Magistrate court sitting in Ilorin has granted bail to the two siblings; Dare Akogun and Abdulrasheed Akogun remanded on Friday for allegedly defaming and inciting the public against the government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Recalls that the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye, through a petition to the Commissioner of Police accused the duo of defamation and inciting the public against the government.
The journalists, who are brothers, were remanded at the Oke-Kura correctional facility on Friday following a petition by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
