Man Dies In Port Harcourt Hotel Hours After Checking In With Lady

A man whose identity is yet to be ascertained died in a hotel at Ada George axis of Port Harcourt early Wednesday morning few hours after checking into facility with a single lady.

A guest in the hotel who did not want his name mentioned told our correspondent said the lady who checked into the hotel with the lady became scarred around 2 am rushed out their hotel room knocking at the door of another room while raising alarm that the man he came with has slumped.

According to the guest, the manager of the hotel and security men responded by rushing the man to hospital, while also informing the Police of the development.

The man was later confirmed dead at the hospital.

Sources at the hotel disclosed that the lady said the deceased man took drink suspected to be ‘man power’ at a local gin joint on Tuesday night.

As at press time, the hotel manager and the lady have been detained at Rumupakani(Ada George) Police Division in Port Harcourt for questioning.

Police sources said the case is expected to be transferred to State Criminal Investigation and and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Port Harcourt for further investigation.

At the time of filing this report the Rivers State Police Command had not reacted to the story.
